a teenager, Guy Ritchie grew a passion for filmmaking after watching Butch
Cassidy and the Sundance Kid (1969). At the age of 15 Guy drop out of school to
pursuit his dreams but refused to attend any film school. In 1995, Guy got a
job to be as a runner, on a film set, ultimately starting his film career. He moved
from being a set runner on a film set to directing music and promos for bands
and commercials. His first short film The Hard Case (1995), was made from the
money he got from making music videos, promos and commercial. The 20-minute short film The Hard Case, is the
prequel to Guy Ritchie’s debut feature film Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels
(1998). The success of the film got his name on the map, as one of the rising
filmmakers of that time. The film also lunched the careers of actors like Jason
Statham, Jason Flemyng, and Vinnie Jones.
