One – as Gandhi said – peace, it

One of the most tragic and effective challenges our Arab world suffers from is the youth-related issues. It has been really hard for youth to make their voices heard, although they should be the uttermost-contributing portion to the general theme of community. “If we are to reach real peace in this world … we shall have to begin with children.” – Mahatma Gandhi. I can not think of better words to describe my major motive to make this project come true than that Gandhi said. I say, it is not only about – as Gandhi said – peace, it is about shaping our future as a whole. That is why I thought of a project that mainly consists of a series of forums and events which acts as a supporting mechanism to help youth develop their ideas, encourage them to put their ideas into action, and contribute to a constructive change process, leading to active changes in the community. These series of forums which I like to call them “Ideas-Initiative-Forums” are the push that further enables youth to engage with society as citizens and social actors, along with a view to encouraging innovative action, particularly by exercising young people’s rights and assuming their responsibilities. In the sake of Planning a youth forum, I would certainly want to break the project down into some steps, 4 steps in specific. Step 1, It would be very important to get focused on a particular field in which these “Ideas-Initiative-Forums” are going to be about, and it is going to be a program targets the Improvement of youth skills and enlightenment of their minds using creative ways that give them the ability to change their reality into a better one. Also, it aims to teach youth how to create meaningful opportunities for themselves and for their society through some sessions and lectures, gamification approach, and fun activities. Step 2, Setting up the plan for the day of event. Set a location, date, and time. Also, looking for any local organizations or agencies that I can partner with that might be able to offer me space to host the forum. Step 3, Now, it is time for us to reach out to the community. For our youth participants, we would find them mainly on social media, and that is where the advertising for the forum begins. Step 4, the forum day is here! Getting the feedback from attendants after the forum is successfully over to avoid any issues next time. As I plan to make “Ideas-Initiative-Forums”, I am planning to work with local organizations or agencies that believe that these young people can be instrumental in the change process and contribute to a better world. I would work with different public speakers and trainers to give lectures to provide support to young people. Youth creativity and innovation are results of their open imagination. That why It is important to transform their imagination into useful concrete projects, benefiting our local community. As Einstein said, “Imagination is more important than knowledge, Knowledge is limited” Einstein.
